Distinguished Teaching Award Recipients Announced
This year's 2020 Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA) recipients are an outstanding group of teachers who are truly dedicated to their students' success. Sponsored by the 91PORNA Alumni Association, the DTA is the university鈥檚 most prestigious honor in teaching. The award is presented annually to three full-time faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary teaching, whether it be in the classroom or online.

91PORNA has partnered with Greater Akron community organizations to conduct the first comprehensive and specific LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment (CNA). Efforts of this assessment focus on producing a better-informed public health system and improving the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community members.

A scholarship has been established to honor the life and legacy of E. Timothy (Tim) Moore, Associate Dean Emeritus in 91PORNA鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences and Associate Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pan-African Studies.
Ed and Peg Hall - All Roads Lead to a Giving Legacy
Inspired by late faculty colleagues Jim Rinier (geology) and Art Herrick (biology) who designated 91PORNA in their estate plans, Ed and his wife, Peg, have funded a gift annuity, which at maturity will benefit the Map Library in the 91PORNA Libraries.
