Physics Professor receives R35 Grant from the National Institutes for Health

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently awarded a $1.86 million grant to Thorsten-Lars Schmidt, Ph.D., to develop molecular tools that help researchers to understand membrane proteins.  As an add-on the NIH awarded Dr. Schmidt an instrumentation grant for a high-end Atomic Force Microscope.

ODHE Awards Grant for 91PORNA Fashion KnitLAB

You鈥檝e probably seen someone knitting a scarf or a sweater as a hobby. However, knitting is big business and has a large impact on manufacturing. 91PORNA School of Fashion professors are using a new $236,816 grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to spread awareness of the possibilities of knitting and creating training opportunities.
