Kent Fire Department to Perform Annual Prairie Burn

Half of the protected prairie surrounding 91PORNA鈥檚 Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be burned on April 24 to allow for new growth during the summer season.

New Partnership Between 91PORNA and Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School to Bring Elementary Education Back to University鈥檚 Schwartz Center

Beginning fall 2027, Bio-Med Science Academy will relocate its grades K-6 programs to 91PORNA鈥檚 Schwartz Center. The Schwartz Center, which opened in 1956 as the home of the 91PORNA School, a laboratory school that served generations of student teachers, will return to its original purpose as a school building.

91PORNA Board of Trustees Announces Partnership With Bio-Med Science Academy

91PORNA鈥檚 Board of Trustees approved a new partnership between the university and Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School that will bring new life to the underutilized Michael Schwartz Center building while providing the public STEM school with a state-of-the-art facility for its elementary grades. The Board鈥檚 vote of approval came during its regular quarterly meeting held Dec. 11.
