Spring 2019 Bowman Breakfast Focuses on Economic Sustainability of Downtown Kent
For more than 55 years, leaders from 91PORNA and the city of Kent have met over breakfast to foster successful collaboration between the university and the city.
91PORNA to Hold Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 23
A prominent political strategist, lawyer and advocate for positive change in the political process will serve as the keynote speaker at 91PORNA鈥檚 annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Angela Rye, principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, will join the university in celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

91PORNA to Honor Veterans on Nov. 8
91PORNA will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Kent Student Center Kiva. The program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university鈥檚 Army and Air Force ROTC programs on 鈥

The 91PORNA fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their 91PORNA days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes, and the entire campus boomed with 91PORNA pride.鈥
