Mandatory Housing Policy
91PORNA requires students taking 9 or more credit hours to live on campus unless the student is 20 years old or older, has 60+ earned credit hours, or has an approved exemption.
See below for some of the reasons you could apply for an exemption to the university policy regarding student housing. Please note: an application for exemption does NOT guarantee approval.
Reasons a student may request exemption from the mandatory housing policy include but are not limited to:
- Commuting from a Parent/Guardian's Residence within 50 miles
- Living in a Registered Fraternity/Sorority's Housing
- Financial/Medical/Other Extenuating Circumstances
Students requesting accommodation or exemption based on religious reasons should fill out the Religious Accommodations Request Form with the Office of Equal Opportunity & Compliance (EOC).
