The Department of Sport, Hospitality and Event Management offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to careers in sport, hospitality, and events. This combined program balances academic coursework with hands-on, practical experiences, preparing students for a wide range of roles across these dynamic industries.
Students build a strong foundation in sport administration, hospitality, and business management while gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for the workforce. Graduates are equipped to pursue careers in sport programs, facility management, event planning, hospitality operations, sports marketing, and public relations.
As part of this integrated program, the hospitality and event management component is the only four-year program in Ohio accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration—further reinforcing the program’s quality and industry relevance. With a forward-thinking curriculum and strong industry alignment, this program stands out across Ohio and beyond.
