The training provides practical guidance and actionable strategies, including:
- Understanding Roles in Career Development: Supervisors learn how to create a supportive environment, ask powerful questions, and guide employees toward resources and opportunities.
- Preparing for Effective Conversations: Participants explore how to review employee history, identify strengths, anticipate organizational needs, and prepare meaningful, open‑ended questions.
- Creating Individual Development Plans (IDPs): The session walks through developing SMART goals, mapping actionable steps, and establishing IDPs as living documents reviewed throughout the year.
- Real‑World Scenarios and Role Play: Facilitators guide participants through common workplace situations—from high performers seeking advancement to mid‑career employees feeling stuck—allowing supervisors to practice skills in a supportive environment.
