Dr. John Updegraff was recently featured in the 91PORNA Magazine for his research delving into how people recover from trauma. Dr. Updegraff began this line of research in the context of the September 11 attacks in 2001. Now 25 years later, he explains his work to understand our ability to make sense of traumatic events, including collective trauma, and helps illustrate the benefits of searching for a greater meaning.
