Quick Tip: Add Additional Time to In-Progress Quiz Attempts
We are happy to announce the release of a new feature in Canvas New Quizzes: the ability to add extra time to a student鈥檚 in-progress quiz attempt!
Instructors can now extend the time for students who are actively taking a quiz. This new feature allows you accommodate students who may need extra time without interrupting their workflow or requiring them to take a second quiz attempt.
How to add the additional time:
In the Course Navigation Bar, click on the Quizzes link and then locate the quiz you want to manage.
Find the quiz you need to edit [1]. Click on the three vertical dots [2] to view the options menu and select "Build link [3]."
Click on the Moderate tab at the top of the page.
Locate the row containing the student's name for whom you want to add time and click the 鈥淓dit鈥 icon button.
Click the Time Adjustments [1] drop-down menu and select Give Additional Time. Specify the additional time in the Hours or Minutes field [2], then click Apply [3] in the lower-right corner to confirm and save the changes.
Check the Accommodations [1] column and verify the additional time has been added. Click the Return [2] to button to exit the Moderate settings.
